A tennis court is tucked at the back of the property, at the end of the narrow strip. And a tiny garden sits between it and the pool house. The clients wouldn’t stop and savor it very often, Lombardi says, but he wanted something nice for them to walk past on the way to play tennis.
“I felt that we had an obligation to make something there that was interesting,” he says. “It’s this little hidden thing that acts almost as a pause.”
