New York Pool and Spa Retailer Celebrates Milestone

A swimming pool and spa retailer in New York is celebrating a major milestone.

Niagara Falls-based Saraceni Pools & Spas turns 30 in June, according to the Niagara-Wheatfield Tribune.

Dennis and Patty Conti started the family-owned business in 1984 and took over the facility in 1985. But Dennis’ roots in the pool industry date back to a time when he sold swimming pools in Arizona, before relocating back to Niagara Falls and opening his own company.

He recalls how the company got started:

“There was a chain of drug stores in Niagara Falls, about three or four – a small chain, but they also sold other stuff in the drug store, and pool supplies was one of them,” he told the news outlet. “So they had closed down … so we opened back up as pool supplies only, thinking we were going to change the name in a couple years, and we never did, and here we are, 30 years later.”
