Thursday Pools, a fiberglass pool and composite manufacturer, held a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the expansion of its manufacturing facility.

The Fortville, Ind. location went from 25,000 to 60,000 square feet, which the firm says allowed it to double its personnel.

Ceremony attendees included representatives from local government, law enforcement and the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM).

Bruno Pigott, commissioner of IDEM, recognized the firm for being accepted into the Indiana Environmental Stewardship Program, an honor given to state businesses that go above and beyond current environmental regulations.

“As our business continues to grow, we look forward to contributing to the growth of the local economy and creating more local jobs,” said Bill Khamis, Thursday Pools’ CFO.
