Pool and Spa News editor-in-chief Joanne McClain will be moderating a panel discussion during the 2017 PSP Expo in Orlando. Titled Before and After the Storm: Disaster Safety, Prevention, and Response, this discussion will address the preventative measures and challenges pool builders, service professionals, remodelers, and other outdoor living face with the occurrence of a natural disaster including floods and hurricanes.

“Disaster readiness now is a topic of paramount importance,” said McClain. “While most discussions center around the issues homeowners face, little is said about what businesses should do and how to respond. This panel discussion will provide pool and spa professionals with practical guidelines on what to do in these trying situations – and how to do it.”

The event will feature the following panelists:

Terry Arko, Recreational Water Specialist/Commercial Sales at NC Brands
Ray Arouesty, Senior Vice President at Arrow Insurance Service, a division of HUB International
Jack Manilla, CEO/President/Owner at Portofino Pools
Bob Vincent, Environmental Administrator, Florida Department of Health
