Mike Geremia on the Biggest Challenge Pool Builders Face

In this edition of Top 50 Builder Bites — our weekly podcast series on the biggest issues the industry faces today — we talk to Mike Geremia of the third-generation family business Geremia Pools, which ranks 44 on this year’s list. Here, the president of the Sacramento, Calif. Based firm shares his thoughts on a major obstacle pool builders, and the pool industry as a whole, will have to work to overcome: the labor shortage.


“If you’re on the lookout, there’s a lot out there, but you always gotta be on your toes looking for good people. And when one guy shows up back in town he’s got all of these different groups looking for him. You grab him up, even if you don’t need him, you put him somewhere else for a while just to have him.”
